January 21, 1998
A hearing regarding GTE's plans to convert Hillsborough, Pinellas, and parts of the Pasco region into a 10-digit dialing zone will be held Feb. 24, 1998. The plan, which would have many area alarm dealers reprogramming their customer alarm panels en masse', is open to public comment prior to the hearing.
Alarm dealers potentially affected by the change and who would rather see GTE split the area into different codes instead, may voice their sentiments by e-mailing the Public Service Commission directly at contact@psc.state.fl.us.
To send a pre-written e-mail message right now with just your company signature, click here.
They may also fax the commission at 800-511-0809, or simply telephone 800-342-3552 to express their concern by voice. Alarm agents may also attend the public hearing which will be held at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd in Tampa on said date at 10:00 a.m..
